Announcements 22nd September 2017

Last week’s winners of the September Stableford were Nigel Bidmead with a 66 in division one and Ray Ripsher with a 72 in division two. Well done both of you and anyone else who has beaten their handicap this week. Special mention for Richard Blyth, who finished fifth in the Middlesex handicap competition at West Middlesex on Sunday, just out of the prizes. Coming up this week is the Autumn Kruger Sovereign on Thursday which ties in nicely with the last Thursday roll up and member prize draw. This will reach £575 for the last time before it disappears for the winter.

Friday is then Bush Babies Captain’s Day sign up in the George low bar and this is before Friday Night Music night when Hot Fondu will be our guest act on stage at 9pm. ( Guess the food option). New Captain’s Drive in is on the 8th of October and this year is open to all members with a less formal meal afterwards. Please see the posters around the club identified by the great pictures of our new Captain David Dickinson and his wife Irene, Lady Captain. I am sure you will all want to support them in the start of their year which I am sure will be one of the club’s most successful ever. Alasdair is putting on some international themed food evenings during the coming months and this starts with a Tapas Evening on the 12th of October. Again have a closer look at the posters for more information and to find out how to reserve your place.

I am now on the final furlong of my year as your Club Captain and just have a few events to finish with before the AGM on the 7th of October. One of these will be my final four ball draw on the 1st of October and I look forward to seeing many of you then.

Captain’s Tip – Keep the left arm straight.
