Bush Hill Park Tigers
The Middlesex Tigers League and Bullivant Bowl are great leagues to play highly competitive golf.
Tigers A League
The general format of the competition will comprise inter-club 8-aside scratch match-play matches over 18 holes. There will be an initial group stage to determine which clubs participate in the second stage, which will run on a knockout basis. Clubs may play 6-aside matches in the group stages only, with the 2 unplayed matches being recorded as halves. This must be agreed when the fixture is arranged and the league secretary informed. The winners of the knockout stage will receive the Leslie Flack Cup to hold for one year.
For the initial round robin stage, clubs will be drawn into 4 regional groups and will play each other team in their group on a home and away basis. 2 points will be awarded to a club winning a match (8 singles) and 1 point to each club involved in a drawn match (4-4). The winners and runners up of each group will go forward to the knockout stage.
Players must have a playing handicap in the range 3 - 12 inclusive except that players with higher handicaps may be allowed provided that a team could not otherwise be fielded.
The bowl format will be a knockout competition based on a standard bracketed draw, Six Players.
Matches will comprise 3 games played on a fourball better ball match play basis off scratch.
All ties except the final will involve a home match and an away match. The winners of the tie will be the team that has scored the most number of points in the two matches.
The final will be played over 18 holes on a neutral course to be determined by the Executive Committee.
Players must have a playing handicap of 7 or more. Clubs are reminded however, that the original concept of the league was to create competitive inter club competition for players in the handicap range between 8 and 12 who were not being selected to play in the Middlesex Tigers A teams.
