What a glorious morning to play golf! A bit damp underfoot, but the sunshine made up for that.
Today was our Harvest Festival Stableford. Thank you all so much for your amazing generosity. My boot and back seat were full of food items which I shall deliver to the local Food Bank. The comp was in one division and the results were 1st Lucy Bidmead, 2nd Sarah Rees and 3rd Ozlem Orgen.
On Tuesday evening, Lisa and Sue A ran a rules quiz evening for the women’s section members and our affiliates. It was a fun event with plenty of wine and nibbles to help our thought processes. As well as learning rules we didn’t know, it was interesting to learn about rules that have changed and also to be reminded of those that had become a bit blurred over time. I know that Lisa and Sue worked really hard preparing for this event and it showed in the professional presentation and the clarity of the explanations. I certainly enjoyed it and learned a lot and, judging from the feedback, so did everybody else.
Next Wednesday we will be playing a medal and the week after is a non-qualifying, fun event where we will be playing a Stableford off the yellow tees.
If you have qualified for the Final Stableford, this needs to be played this coming Sunday or Monday.
The Pearson sign up sheet is up in the locker room. Please sign up for the match against Pinner Hill which is on October 29th.
Also in the locker room is my playing diary. Please sign up to play with me.
Hope the weather stays like this for the weekend. See you all next week.
