Women's Captain's Blog, 4th December 2025
Firstly it is with great sadness that I share the passing of Shirley Fielder, one of our cherished lady members. Her warmth, grace, and love for the game touched everyone who knew her. She will be dearly missed across the Club and her bridge counterparts. She leaves behind a wonderful legacy through her daughters Tracey and Lesley who are valued members of our Club. She will be dearly missed. We extend our heartfelt condolences to her family and friends.
The Christmas Fayre was a huge success thanks to Lucy Bidmead who is the brains and muscle behind this venture. There was a lot of work involved with the organisation and executing the event. Many of the members pooled in to help with contributions to food, beauty products, vouchers, wrapping baskets, baking and endless other tasks and attending the event. A huge thank you to everyone who contributed in every way. The charity Noah's Ark will definitely benefit from the proceeds.
It was a beautiful day for all those who played.

Forthcoming Events
Today is the Women’s Christmas Party and I for one am looking forward to hosting this for all our women. Thank you to all the ladies who have signed up and are attending.
Wednesday 10th December - Women's Christmas waltz - a draw for teams - a fun event for all divisions. Please sign up on IG as it is also open to all divisions.
