It's nice to see the lakes on 13th and 17th full again but the new water features materialising on the second and third fairways are NOT so good!!
I’m sure everyone is disappointed that the course has been closed but photos in Leigh’s blog on Friday show the amount of water on the course from the unprecedented rainfall we have had this year. Let's hope for better conditions this week.
With no golf to report, I’d like to mention that continued support of the club and facilities by members is much appreciated. I had lunch on Friday at the club at the main bar. It was great to see so many fellow diners enjoying the dishes offered. Please carry on this support for your club whenever possible.
Looking ahead, The Captain's Charity Day event is confirmed for Bank Holiday Monday, May 4th. Further correspondence will be forthcoming over the next couple of months, but any offers for raffle or auction items would be greatly received from now onwards and in addition to offers of help on the day. Please contact me, Umar, or Michelle in the Office with your donations/offers. It’s all for a wonderful cause, Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice located in Barnet. A representative from The Ark will do a presentation on the day detailing their great work and encourage us to all give generously. Leaflets and pamphlets are located around the Clubhouse also highlighting the work of the Ark.
Hopefully the course will improve for the next week and some golf can be played - keep the faith.
