It's great to see the course open for most of the last week, although again conditions still remain difficult. Hopefully the course will continue to improve this week and some more golf can be played.

On Saturday the Winter League continued with Tim Clarke coming out on top with 32 points - excluding holes 17 and 18, which remained out of competition. Well played Tim. There’s two weeks left of the winter league with Matthew Breen holding onto the lead from Andrew Garrad by 5 points so all to play for.

Next Sunday is the 1st of March with the Captain's Four ball Draw taking place. The format depends on number of entrants but it’s a fun team event. Meeting in George Low bar at 8am for pastries and coffee, followed by the draw and a shotgun start at 8:30am. Please add your names on IG in the usual way as early as you can.

The second quiz evening this Friday is sold out but the third and last one is next month on March 27th and there's still time to enter! It’s teams of eight. You can sign up with less numbers and all endeavours will be made to join up with others to make a team. This is the second of the three winter evening events, with prizes for winners and last place!
Dining is included so sign up to test your knowledge and have an enjoyable evening.

A reminder to play and get five qualifying cards in to be eligible for entry to knockout competitions. Hopefully, see you on the course next week and happy golfing
