Congratulations to Matthew Breen on winning the Winter League after round 23 this weekend. Matthew finished on 216 points closely followed by Andrew Garrad on 215 and David Hollins on 212 in third place.
The final weeks result saw Chris Davison winning with 37 points. Overall 163 members entered the competition over the winter so well played everyone particularly with the difficult conditions we have had since the turn of the year.
Moving on to summer, there are competitions every week with the opener being the pairs event and Board competition the Holm Oak this weekend. Entry and competition rules are on IG.
On Thursday 26th March, Women’s Captain Umar and Head Chef Roy are hosting a Curry evening. Come along and taste these original dishes. Tickets are going fast and reservations can be made on IG.
On May 4th in addition to being Star Wars day !! it’s the annual Captain's Charity Day. Full details will be provided soon but I’m looking for pledges and donations for auction and raffle prizes already. If you have a favourite restaurant /bar/shop why not ask them for a voucher in support of Noah's Ark Children's Hospice. I can provide letters of authorisation for fundraising in their name if required.
