Women’s Captains’ Blog, 22nd November 2023

With some better golfing weather this week there was a good turnout for our Stableford competition on Wednesday and the top scores were very impressive. Helen Gilbert won with 38 points and Sue Nugent was runner up with 36. Very well done.

Future events

For the women’s roll-up on Sunday 26th November we have three tee times reserved from 9:50am. If you are interested please enter on IG.

WDF Integration sign-up opens this Sunday for the 10th December.  If you can help on the day Nikki Chodurek will be grateful for your support.

Competition entry for the End of Season Alliance on Wednesday 29th November closes on Sunday. The draw will be published on Monday and an email sent explaining the format. It will be a semi shotgun start with tee times from 8:30am followed by lunch.

The Christmas Fayre is Thursday 30th. This event kicks off the festive season at the Club. Do come along and support the event as it is always a lovely atmosphere.

Reminders

The greenkeeping staff work hard and do a great job in maintaining our course in the best condition possible but we also need to do our bit to help:

• When in a bunker, rake it.
• On the fairway when you make a divot, replace it.
• On the greens repair your pitch mark and one other.

Please be mindful when on the course and look after it.
