Another fantastic milestone was achieved by Bush Hill Park GC at the Club Mirror Awards last week, by winning Golf Club of the Year 2023 for an unprecedented third time. In addition to winning Golf Club of the year, we were also finalists in the Catering Club of the year and Social Media Club of the year categories. Big congratulations and thanks go out to Stewart, Debbie, Danny and Roy and all their staff as well as to Ray and all the various committees for all the hard work they have put into the Club throughout the year.
 

On the golfing front, the course has stood up incredibly well in extremely wet conditions and it's a true testimony to Asa, Damien and all the greenstaff for keeping the course and particularly the greens in great condition. I would ask however, if we as members can also do our bit to assist in applying some simple course maintenance by:

• Replacing divots
• Repairing pitch marks on the greens
• Raking bunkers.

On Saturday in Winter League 7, Richard Kemish carded a fantastic 43 points, followed by two creditable rounds of 38 points form Robert Sobers and Ben Janney. The Winter League table is just about starting to take shape now and Dave Boss is the clear leader with 209 points followed by Rob Collett and Dave Hall on 199 points and 193 respectively.  

This Coming Sunday, 3rd December, we have the December Four ball Draw. This is traditionally one of the best attended four ball draws of the year and as an extra incentive, there will be complimentary mince pies beforehand and bar snacks in the George Low Bar, post golf. In addition to the sweep, there will also be the opportunity to play for a complimentary Four ball at Batchworth Park.

Finally, as the days are getting shorter and tee times, particularly on Saturday are getting scarcer, please ensure that if you book a time for you and your playing partners that they are all able to play on the specific dates that you book for.
