Our Rangers Team seems unstoppable at the moment with another win this time against North Mid, keep it up boys!
This week I swapped the heatwave for some sea breeze golf, though it was still just as hot!
On Friday, several of our members played in The Nightingale’s annual golf charity day, helping to raise vital funds for them. Congratulations to Dave Snell and Mike Coughlan who were part of the overall winning team.
Some very good scores at home though for the July Medal and Srixon Amateur Qualifier, a superb nett 64 from Nigel Bidmead who won overall.
The results as follows:
July Medal Div 1 (Nett)
Nigel Bidmead (64) Joint lowest Gross 75
Martin Taylor (66)
David Boss (68) Joint Lowest Gross 75
Div 2 (Nett)
Graham Edwards (65)
Dave Griffiths (66)
David R. Morris (66)
This Sunday is the fourball draw, sign up is on IG and is open to all male playing members. Tea, coffee, and Krispy Kreme’s will be served at 8am with tee off at 8:30am. I look forward to seeing as many of you there as possible.
Our 130th celebrations are now almost full. We have a few spaces left in the morning - remember you can bring a guest and if you don’t have a team, we help you find one. Each round is followed by food if required and a disco in the evening. Come and help us celebrate this great milestone in our Club’s history on July 11th.
A bit of housekeeping; when you enter a card for handicap purposes, please try your best to make the scores or strokes as legible as possible, every effort will be made to decipher them, but they will be voided if they are too difficult to read.
Danny and I are very much looking forward to playing our Captain and pro Challenges, which will culminate with which ever pair manages to beat us by the biggest margin, being invited to play a rematch at Royal Cromer Golf Club, please email Danny or myself and we can book you in.
As we are now underway for the season, a reminder that the 13th is the Captain’s Charity Hazard. If you go into the water then a donation into any of the buckets around the clubhouse will be gratefully received, if like me that does happen a little too often! Then an idea to see you through the year could be a one-off donation via the JustGiving Page of £10.
Happy Golfing.

Club Captain
