Captain's Blog, 9th July 2025

On Thursday, I made my debut for the Rabbits and unfortunately, I didn’t bring them any luck, and we lost away to Pinner Hill. Most enjoyable though with a meal afterwards.

Some great golf over the weekend, with the overall winner Sandro Cioffi winning with a very creditable 41 points, beating Keith Hassan on countback.

Sunday’s fourball draw saw 24 of us out on the course, and the winning fourball with a huge 98 points! (that’s not a typo ?) was Tim Sainani, David R. Morris, Boz Aleksov, and Simon Collins. Very well played all, it’s hard to believe there are only two more to go as Captain.

Our 130ᵗʰ celebrations are fast approaching, even if you aren’t playing golf do come along and help us celebrate in the evening, and help us celebrate this great milestone in our club’s history on July 11th. Tickets available here.

A bit of housekeeping; when you enter a card for handicap purposes, please try your best to make the scores or strokes as legible as possible, every effort will be made to decipher them, but they will be voided if they are too difficult to read.

Danny and I are very much looking forward to playing our Captain and pro Challenges, which will culminate with which ever pair manages to beat us by the biggest margin, being invited to play a rematch at Royal Cromer Golf Club, please email Danny or myself and we can book you in.

As we are now underway for the season, a reminder that the 13th is the Captain’s Charity Hazard. If you go into the water then a donation into any of the buckets around the clubhouse will be gratefully received, if like me that does happen a little too often!
