Thursday's Beaujolais Day saw forty-three entrants competing in team format, followed by lunch with wine and French food in plenty afterwards.

The team winners were Ted Rees, Carol Dodd, and Anne Jones. The Individuals collecting bottle prizes were Ryan Lee and Anne Jones.

A thoroughly enjoyable day and a great way to meet other members you don’t normally play with. I’d recommend the date in your diaries for next year. Also many thanks to John Bottoms for organising.

The winter league competition resumed on Saturday with 32 players entering amid difficult conditions again. Seems to be a theme from start of the Winter League!

The winners were:

Division 1

1st) James Severn 37 points
2nd) Jon Copley 35 points

Division 2

1st) Sean Nugent 32 points
2nd) Nelius Curtin 27 points

Just a reminder to take a look at the club diary for all festive activities at the club, starting with the Christmas Fayre on Thursday to kick the season off.
