As the Winter League reaches its halfway stage, we have had 151 different entrants into the
competition with the league table going into Christmas week (the best 6 rounds entered) shows
topping the tree:
-1st-Andrew Garrad 211 points-
-2nd-David Boss 208
-3rd-Rob Collett 203.
Well played so far and keep up the great golf.
The weekly leaderboard can be located on the competition section of BHP website under ongoing
comp section. Check your current position if you dare and try putting the leaders under a bit of
pressure for the early months of 2026.
On Saturday, Sam Weller jumped up the chart with a great score of 42 points followed by Asa
Lowther in 2nd place with 38. Sunday saw Ryan Lee topping out with 38 points.
Over Christmas and New Year I have a couple of golfing events to mention to help you work away
the Christmas excesses.
Tuesday 30th - Bush Babies golf society four ball draw and Zag Putter competition. For those who
don’t know it's a yearly meet with golf, lunch and a putting competition in the George Low Bar with
a special adjustable putting mat!! Usually quite a memorable event. A shotgun start with a meet
time of 8 am for coffee and the draw. Details of entry are on IG or contact Brian McDermott
directly.
On Sunday 4th January, it's the Captain's Four Ball Men's draw. My first 3 draws have been
incredibly well attended and I’d like to thank all participants so far and hope as many of you as
possible are able to make it for the first draw of 2026. As usual it's an 8am meet and teeing off at
8.30. The Sweep is optional and again entry is on IG.
Finally, I’d like to thank every member for your incredible support and best wishes since my
appointment as Club Captain in September and hope you all have a very Merry Christmas, all the
best personally for 2026 and may your handicaps all continue to go in the right direction.
