What an amazing Centenary Salver we had today. We started with jumpers and gilets, and some players in woolly hats, and ended with us sitting on the terrace under sun umbrellas enjoying the new terrace furniture. Many thanks to Roy and his team for a lovely lunch which was followed by prize giving which quite frankly you really couldn’t have made up. Our winner today with a nett 68 was Pauline,

The big news this week is that our Pearson team has reached the semi finals which is to be played on Wednesday 21 June at Sudbury. I’m told that BHP hasn’t reached a Pearson semi/final since 1986. The spring meeting heralds the women’s new golfing year and today the sun shone, the rain held off, the course was lush and green, and beginning to look quite resplendent, and the cakes in the hut were amazing! Lots of thank yous to everyone who made it such a lovely day but especially to Lisa for managing the results so efficiently,

The sun has finally got it’s hat on today for the Australian Spoons competition - about time too. Congratulations to Kathy Kerr (lovely to see you back with us on a Wednesday) and Sue Nugent (yet another win for Sue!) with 31 points on count back from Wendy and Sue Evans. Kathy and Sue will go through to the next round, although I’m not too sure of the venue.
