It’s been a busy week for golf, the course is looking great, and the weather is behaving itself. On Saturday 3rd of June, we held the Shillingford Bowl, congratulations to Ted Rees, with a fantastic net 64, followed by John Stoliday with nett 68. Also, on Saturday we had the June Medal & Srixon AM-Champ Qualifier, once again there was some great scores in, congratulations to Balbinder Dhinsa with a nett 65, just pipping Varnavas Christofi also with nett 65, on count back.

Last Thursday we held the Past Captain’s Cup and Dinner, this is always a special event in the calendar, eleven players took part in the competition, and with a fantastic 38 points, our past captain Iain Lanario was the victor, followed by Ted Rees with 34 points, this was followed by a fantastic meal, all credits to our chef Roy and Debbie and her staff, if was a fantastic evening.

On Sunday, we held the Spring Trophy Mixed event, we had a great turnout with twenty couples playing, we also had fantastic weather to add to the day, as usual we had donuts in the hut, halfway round, followed by a fantastic meal, by our Chef Roy, delivered by Debbie & her team, many thanks.

We had a very busy week, starting with the Victory Cup, this was held on Saturday, 36-hole medal, which is a very tough competition, we had 23 golfers take part. Congratulations to Ed Sobers with a fantastic, nett 62 & 68 to take the championship with a total 130, followed by Marlon Hills with 67 & 71 Total 138.
